TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms of Use

Terms and operational conditions governing the use of the RTDHAI public portal, rural telemedicine kiosks, and electronic healthcare platforms.

Effective Date: July 2026 | Version 1.2

Medical Emergency Disclaimer

RTDHAI telemedicine kiosks and virtual consultations are designed for primary healthcare, routine consultations, and specialist clinical advice. If a patient is experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency (such as severe hemorrhage, acute respiratory failure, or cardiac arrest), they must immediately be routed to the nearest tertiary trauma facility or general hospital.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Ownership, scope, and agreement binding

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether as a patient, visiting member of the public, Community Health Worker, Nurse, consulting Medical Doctor, or Administrator) and Gbedako Global Resources Ltd, the owner and operator of the Rural Telemedicine and Digital Health Access Initiative (RTDHAI).

By accessing or using our public web portal, logging into staff dashboards, operating kiosk terminals, or receiving telemedicine consultation services, you explicitly accept and agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the platform.

2. Nature & Scope of Telehealth Services

Virtual consultations, EMR, and pharmacy fulfillment

RTDHAI provides digital infrastructure, low-bandwidth WebRTC communication tools, and solar-powered kiosk hardware to bridge primary health centers (PHCs) in rural communities with urban medical specialists. Our services include:

  • Virtual Teleconsultations: Low-latency audio/video consultations linking on-site health workers and patients to MDCN-registered medical specialists.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Digitized patient records, clinical histories, and vital sign logs stored securely.
  • Digital Prescriptions & Kiosk Dispensing: Electronic prescriptions issued by consulting doctors and fulfilled by kiosk health workers using essential medication inventory.
  • AI Decision Support: Diagnostic assistance tools provided strictly to aid—and not replace—the clinical judgment of licensed medical personnel.

3. User Account Responsibilities & Security

Credential protection and authorized staff access

Access to the internal RTDHAI portal and dashboards is governed by role-based permissions:

Licensed Medical Officers

Must hold active registration with the MDCN and provide valid clinical credentials before conducting teleconsultations.

On-Site Health Workers

CHEWs and Nurses must accurately record patient vitals, verify identity, and manage physical kiosk inventory conscientiously.

Users are strictly prohibited from sharing login credentials, allowing unauthorized third-party access to patient records, or leaving active staff terminals unattended. Any suspected security breach must be reported to security@rtdhai.org immediately.

4. Professional Responsibility & Limitation of Liability

Clinical independence and platform boundary

Clinical Governance: RTDHAI operates as a technological enablement platform. Medical diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and clinical decisions remain the sole professional responsibility of the attending MDCN-licensed medical practitioners.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Gbedako Global Resources Ltd, its directors, employees, and software partners shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from telecommunication downtime, internet disruption, or improper medical history provided by patients.

5. Intellectual Property & Prohibited Conduct

Trademarks, system usage, and restrictions

All software, branding, logos, trademarks, database structures, and designs associated with RTDHAI are the exclusive intellectual property of Gbedako Global Resources Ltd protected under Nigerian copyright laws.

Prohibited Conduct: Users shall not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the RTDHAI software platform.
  • Attempt unauthorized penetration testing, scraping, or data extraction of EMR records.
  • Damage, tamper with, or misappropriate solar kiosk hardware, diagnostic devices, or tablets.
  • Provide false identity or impersonate medical personnel or healthcare administrators.

6. Governing Law & Legal Inquiries

Jurisdiction and contact channels

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria in Niger State or Abuja.
